To be honest, I was pretty disappointed and dejected with my images from this recent Sardinia/Sardegna trip. As I assessed the trip, I think my problem was underestimating travel time...from Vegas, a person really needs to allocate 3 days each way....My trip was only 9 days which means I effectively only had 3 days to cover 600 miles of unfamiliar territory let alone spotty weather. I produce a calendar every year and as I did my layup and pre-press I just was not excited about the product. BUT, then even though I would prefer stellar images, I converted everything to a faux watercolor like this image. Now for my clients, it will be acceptable. Of course I hate to have to basically Photoshop everything but, like this images, my audience will now be able to conjure up their own ideas of Italy and Sardinia.
